Most problems of back, bones and joints do not need surgeons knife for cure. a wide variety of conditions like tennis elbow, heel pain, back and leg pain, frozen shoulder need gradual stretching of tissues along with specialized electrical and mechanical equipment. The therapists are well trained and work in the guidelines provided to them in order to gradually restore the patients to painfree mobility. The modalities employed are ultrasonic therapy, short wave and long wave diatherapy, interferential therapy, traction coupled with various types of excercises. physical therapy also plays a big role in recovering from various fractures and surgical procedures. Mr Mayank is a young IT professional. he was suffering from pain in his arm neck and shoulder. he also had numbness in his fingers. prolonged use of painkillers failed to give him any lasting relief. he was assessed jointly with a physical therapist. a two weeks physical therapy programme was planned along with advice for proper posture at work place. Now six weeks later he is completely free from pain.
